Axigen Webmail supports CalDAV (for calendars) and CardDAV (for contacts), open standards that let you sync your events and address book across devices. You can use your phone's native calendar and contacts apps, or sync with desktop clients like Outlook, Apple Mail, or Thunderbird.
Get Your Sync Credentials
### 1. Find Your CalDAV/CardDAV Server Details
Contact your email provider to confirm:
- CalDAV server hostname (e.g., mail.yourdomain.com or server.yourhost.com)
- CardDAV server hostname (usually the same as CalDAV)
- Your username (typically your email address)
- Your password (your Axigen mailbox password)
Your provider will give you the exact hostname and port for your installation.
### 2. Check Axigen Webmail for Sync URLs (Optional)
- Log in to Axigen Webmail
- Click Settings (gear icon)
- Look for Calendar or Contacts settings
- Some installations display your CalDAV and CardDAV URLs directly—copy these if shown

Important Notes
One-way vs. two-way sync:
- Most modern devices support two-way sync—changes in Axigen Webmail appear on your phone, and vice versa
- Verify your device's sync settings to ensure changes push back to the server
Username is usually your full email address:
- Even if Axigen lets you log in with just a username, CalDAV/CardDAV typically require your full email address
Ports and encryption:
- CalDAV standard: HTTPS port 443 (or sometimes 8443)
- CardDAV standard: HTTPS port 443 (or sometimes 8443)
- Your provider will confirm if a non-standard port is required
Initial sync may take time:
- If you have many calendars or contacts, the first sync can take several minutes
- Subsequent syncs are much faster
Battery and data usage:
- Syncing happens in the background; on mobile, enable WiFi-only sync if concerned about data usage
- Check your device's calendar/contacts settings for sync frequency options
Troubleshooting
Sync not connecting:
- Verify the hostname, username, and password are correct
- Confirm your provider's server is running (ask your provider to check)
- Ensure firewall/VPN doesn't block CalDAV/CardDAV ports
Calendar or contacts not appearing on device:
- Force a manual sync (in Settings, tap your account and choose "Sync now")
- Remove and re-add the account, then try again
- Log in to Axigen Webmail to verify the calendars/contacts exist
Changes not syncing back to Axigen:
- Check your device's account settings—ensure sync direction is set to two-way or push
- Some public WiFi or corporate networks block CalDAV/CardDAV—try another connection
Duplicate entries:
- If you see duplicates, turn off sync on one device for a few minutes, then turn back on
- Manually delete duplicates in Axigen Webmail if needed
Contact your email provider if issues persist—they can verify that CalDAV/CardDAV is enabled on your account and provide the correct server URLs for your region and installation.
